Dripping Spring’s Caliterra Announces Five Custom Builders in Gated Enclave

(January 12, 2016—DRIPPING SPRINGS)  Caliterra (caliterraliving.com) announced today its award-winning custom builders for the new 600-acre master-planned development in Dripping Springs.  Priced from the $700s to $1.4 million, custom builders Sterling Custom Homes, Arbogast Custom Homes, Lake Travis Custom Homes, Sommerfeld Construction and Alkire Construction LLC, are building in the Wildwood neighborhood of Caliterra.  Bordered by Onion Creek on one side and Walnut Creek on the other, this gated enclave of just 18 wooded custom home sites is surrounded by natural beauty and a nature trail.

“We hand picked each custom builder to reflect the quality and lifestyle of Caliterra,” said Greg Rich, Partner, Allegiant Realty Partners, the developer for Caliterra.  “With the beuatiful views and the wide open spaces, residents will truly feel like they are on a permanent retreat in their own back yard.”

The Home Builders Association (HBA) of Greater Austin recently selected Caliterra’s Wildwood neighborhood as the next location for its flagship luxury home tour, the Parade of Homes™, which will take place October 28th through November 13th.

Over 250 acres of Caliterra is preserved as open space that maximizes views, protects wildlife habitats and maintains the rural ranch heritage of Dripping Springs.  Phase I amenities, which will be open in September of 2016, include a Welcome Lodge and Coffee Shoppe; a large on-site Event Pavilion and Adventure Cabin for resident and community gatherings; children’s splash pad and play area; and a creekside picnic pavillion and fishing dock.  In addition, Treehouse Park is open and includes play equipment such as a rock climbing wall, pole slide, climbing tower and ADA ramp access up into the tree limbs.

Phase II amenities will feature a luxurious residents-only Club House with resort-style pool and cabanas; a 33-acre Central Park with six miles of nature trails; playscapes; and the Turkey Hollow Nature Area, which will be a great space for exploring and camping.

Another added amenity is that Caliterra is using natural gas throughout the development.  It is the first community in Dripping Springs currently offering this highly cost efficient alternative to propane gas.  Natural gas is not only much less expensive than propane, but it is also a cleaner burning fuel that does not release pollutants into the air.

Dripping Springs’ historic downtown is just a mile away and is home to Mercer Street, which hosts local restaurants, specialty shopping, music venues, an historic dance hall and weekly Farmer’s Market.

With homes in the master-planned community starting in the $300s, Caliterra is located approximately 20 minutes from downtown Austin, off of highway 290, just south on Ranch Road 12.  Its convenient location allows for easy access to the airport, surrounding cities and the Hill Country.  For more information, go to caliterraliving.com.
